Today I’m going to show you how to annotate a repeat on the chart. If you don’t know what that means, I’m talking about little numbers that you can put on the chart to represent how many stitches are in long stretches of repeats.
The video walks you through how to do this step-by-step but here are the main points:
1. Go to “diagram” and then “edit diagram properties”
2. For a colourwork chart, you’re going to first go to the Written Instructions tab and you’re going to check the box next to “include colour in written instructions and for repeated stitches”
3. Under the Appearance tab, click the arrow next to “more on annotations…” to pull up the options.
4. Check the box next to “display annotations” and set the minimum number which is the fewest number of stitches for which the annotation will be displayed.
5. Play around with the other settings to change the appearance and positioning of the numbers.

1. How to change the color of the numbers in Diagram annotation? I choose the color but nothing changes on the chart, it is still black color.

For the colour of your annotations – try the instructions in this video – https://youtu.be/2d8qCWpLs4A – and check that you have not selected “Colour contrasts with stitch colour”. If that doesn’t work, please email us on support [at] stitchmastery.com with a copy of your knt2 file so we can work out why it isn’t working.
For your second question, do you mean you want the letters to be bold within the appearance of the stitch? If so, you will need to choose a bold font in the customising stitch appearance section – https://youtu.be/5jxkLtEzt4g
If you mean the font should be bold in your written instructions, this is something you would need to do after you’ve exported your written instructions and put them into your pattern layout. If you mean in the key, you can change the font of key items using these instructions – https://youtu.be/dQLDpG4IwY4.
