4 different examples of 1/2 right purl cross cables
The chart shows 4 different ways that a 2/1 right purl cross cable can be charted using the StitchMastery Knitting Font Collection. The two examples on the left are both created using a single symbol, whilst the 2 on the right are created using ‘building block fonts’ in which several symbols that are designed to join together are combined.
There are many hundreds of variations of knitting cables possible so it would be difficult to have separate symbols for each of them. About 200 of the most commonly used cables have their own symbols. For anything else, the ‘building block fonts’ are invaluable. I will be giving examples in future posts.
