Version 2.4.0 of the Knitting Chart Editor published

A new version 2.4.0 of the Knitting Chart Editor is now available. For this version only the update mechanism will not work. Instead it requires that the existing version is uninstalled and then the new version installed in its place.

Note that support for Mac OS X 32 bit systems is no longer provided. If you have a 32 bit system you can continue to run your existing copy of Stitchmastery (ie. Do NOT uninstall!) but no updates to it will be provided.

Instructions on uninstalling and installing are in the User Manual here;-

Version 2.4.0 makes the following changes;-

  • The system libraries upon which Stitchmastery is built have been updated to their latest versions. This fixes an issue on Mac OSX that affected the Open file dialog.
  • An error reported on Mac OSX El Capitan that affected customising stitches has now been fixed.
  • The Mac OSX version is now a ‘proper Mac-like’ app so that it now appears as an icon in the Applications folder.
  • If all columns are accidentally deleted from a chart, the chart file can no longer be opened. This is now fixed so that the chart file opens and the ‘blank’ chart can be deleted.
  • The 1/3 RT and 1/3 LT stitches have now been corrected so that they are the correct way round.
